aufs-tools-dbg software package provides Tools to manage aufs filesystems (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aufs-tools-dbg
aufs-tools-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aufs-tools-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aufs-tools-dbg *
You will get with aufs-tools-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
